Dallan Ball
My passion is walking with individuals providing support during their times of need, providing assistance by navigating the challenges and barriers trauma presents them. Including its impacts in life both past and present. My favorite definition for trauma is: “Too much too soon, too much for too long, and not enough for too long.” This definition helps understand everyone's experience and capacity are different. The way these experiences are navigated can be either adaptive (helpful), maladaptive (unhelpful), or both. I provide a non-judgmental, eclectic approach tailored to the individuals identified needs. I collaboratively work with individuals to identify where they are at in their healing journey. With a person-centered strengths-based approach, I strive to build on what each individual already has in place. I enjoy providing education on the effects trauma has on the body and mind. This helps provide individuals with a foundation to continue building a framework that promotes safety and healing. I collaboratively encourage self-confidence and increasing capacity with the client. This strengthens individual ability to navigate the trials and struggles with life.

Experience
I firmly believe that we are all trying to find ways to meet our needs. This belief began developing while providing services in various capacities within the judicial system, starting with law enforcement, and leading to other positions. I am currently working alongside law enforcement officers to offer trauma-informed support that differs from what is typically provided in both law enforcement and traditional clinical settings. This work complements the services I provide in a conventional clinical environment.
