Intern/Therapist
Mariah Lignell
You deserve peace and happiness throughout your journey. However, as we all know, life sometimes gets in the way. Prioritizing your mental health is the first step to a new and happier you! Currently, I am a counseling intern accepting clients from all walks of life. I integrate evidence-based practices while providing empathy and compassion. I provide guidance and support allowing you to discover the potential within yourself to conquer your individual challenges and to reach the level you wish to achieve.
I have had the opportunity to work with children diagnosed with autism. Throughout my years working with and observing behaviors, understanding the root of behaviors and how they impact life will help better personalize and implement treatment plans. I have also worked with the children's families to help them adjust to life and allow them to express their struggles with children who have special needs.
Education:
I am a student at Walden University completing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling. I have two internships left before I can obtain my license as a professional counselor with hope of soon reaching my goal of becoming a licensed clinical professional counselor.
